In the book I'm reading called Scar Tissue, Anthony Kiedes is the main character. The book is about his life. The way Anthony talks is upfront and to the point mostly. He doesnt ask that many questions. Like on page 185 he says to his girlfriend "Nope, I know exactly what happened, and we aer through." He says that like pretty soon after she picks up the phone.

He thinks about a lot of things. He has to think of lyrics and write them down, and then record them. He also often thinks about his girlfriend. he likes her a lot. Another main subject that goes through his head is how he could get drugs, because he is a drug addict. On page 174, he says "I would wake up, and start thinking of ways to make money to get dope." He was at a bad state at this part of the book.

A lot of people liked Anthony a lot as a friend, and liked to be around him. Though a lot of people were also annoyed by his bad drug addiction. He show up late to band practice a lot, and sometimes not even show up. At one point in the book, the band actually fires him but then he gets back in after going sober for a while. For example on page 136 Flea (the bassist) says "I can't do this with you any more, your to messed up."

Anthony ussually wasnt a very busy man. If he was busy, he would be touring, rehearsing, recording, or writing lyrics. When he wasnt busy, he would be hanging out with his friends,  and doing a lot of drugs. Him and his band also played shows, even if they werent touring. One time the band coverd a Jimi Hendrix song at a show where they were asked to play. On page 189 it says " Some people had organized a benefit for Sea Shepard, and the Chili peppers were asked to play." As time went on the band got more and more popular.

Anthony Kiedes was a kind of short guy, with long brown hair, and tan skin. He is in his twenties in this part of the book. He dresses like in a ninties punk kind of style.
